Below I've answered the most popular questions I'm asked, to give you an idea of what to expect when choosing me as your photographer. I've organised these into sections, based on the different types of photography I offer. Weddings & Engagements

CAN YOU TAKE PHOTOGRAPHS AT MULTIPLE LOCATIONS ON MY WEDDING DAY?


Of course! Travel up to 60 miles by car is included when you book any of my Wedding Packages. If you'll be exchanging vows at a different location to the reception, or getting ready at home before heading off to your venue, travel between the different locations will just be included in the total travel time. If you'd like me to photograph you both getting ready in the morning, I can either split my time between the two of you, or you can add a Second Photographer to any of my packages.




HOW DO YOU CHARGE FOR TRAVEL?


For UK Weddings, travel up to 60 miles is included* at no extra charge. Travel beyond 60 miles will be added to your invoice at the standard 45p per mile. For certain Weddings, I may also need to book a nearby hotel, the cost of which I will discuss with you and include in your invoice. For Destination Weddings, I will research flight and hotel prices and put together a total package cost for you.

*If your wedding is within 60 miles but includes travel that cannot by done by car (for example Isle of Wight Weddings requiring a ferry and overnight stay), we will discuss the necessary transport and accomodation and this will be added to your quote.




ARE YOU INSURED?


Absolutely! This is a very important question to ask anyone involved in your wedding. All of your vendors should be fully insured with at least Public Liability Insurance. Not only is this important for your own protection, but your venue may not allow uninsured vendors on-site. If any of your on-the-day vendors are uninsured, be sure to check with your venue whether they will be allowed to attend. You'll be pleased to hear I'm fully insured worldwide and more than happy to provide your venue with a copy of my Policy Schedule if they ask, so this will never be an issue.




WILL YOU EDIT MY PHOTOGRAPHS?


This is an important question. I will edit all of your photographs in my signature style before sending them to you. This involves adjusting elements such as colour and contrast, etc., and I may occasionally add creative elements, but I won't alter the features of the people within the photographs. I'm all about honest photography and believe self-confidence and body positivity are incredibly important, so I won't retouch your photos if this means changing the way you look. If you have a temporary blemish*, such as a spot or a cut on your face, for example, I will happily remove these from your favourite photographs, as they aren't a part of you and your naturally beautiful self. However, a big part of the reason I chose to become a photographer, was to empower my clients and show you just how beautiful you really are.

If you have any concerns about this, please do get in touch, because I would love to show you what everyone else sees when they look at you. I will do my absolute best to help give you the confidence to feel your unashamed, incredible self, with photographs of you just the way you are, not the way I could photoshop you to be.

*Removing a blemish from a large number of photographs, such as a stain on your clothing, is targeted editing and can take some time, so an extra charge may be added.




CAN I BOOK NOW AND PAY LATER?


Of course! For all of my packages, I simply require an initial retainer of between 25 and 30% (depending on your package), in order to secure your booking. The rest can then be paid in instalments, up until 4 weeks before the wedding.




HOW DO YOUR PAYMENT PLANS WORK?


I understand that monthly expenses can vary, particularly when planning a wedding, so I will work with you to create a payment plan that you're happy with. Have a big venue payment to make in April? No problem, we'll schedule your payment for May! Generally, depending on the package you choose and how soon your wedding is, my couples have payments scheduled every 3 to 6 months. If you would prefer to pay smaller amounts more often, this is also possible.




WHAT IF I NEED TO RESCHEDULE A PAYMENT?


I know it's easy to forget one payment when you've got so much else to think about, so I will send you an email reminder a week before each payment is due. When you book, we'll plan your payment schedule so it works for you, but if things change and you feel that for whatever reason you won't be able to make your next payment, simply get in touch up to 10 days before it is due and we can rearrange your payment schedule.




DO YOU PHOTOGRAPH DESTINATION WEDDINGS AND ELOPEMENTS?


Absolutely! I love to travel and I love to photograph weddings, so what could be better than a destination wedding!? Destination Weddings and Elopements are beautiful, but often aren't met with the same excitement by other vendors as Weddings at home, as they've been played down in the past as the option chosen by couples wanting to marry in secret or at a low cost. However, this really is not the case and when you book me for your International Wedding, you'll get the same excitement, attention and passion as any of my UK Wedding couples.




WHAT PACKAGES DO YOU OFFER?


I offer three packages for Full Day UK Weddings; The Classic, The Elegant and The Timeless, for your beautiful day. You can see what is included here. You can also create your own package if you don't require more than 6 hours of coverage. Lifestyle & Portraiture

CAN YOU TAKE PHOTOGRAPHS AT MORE THAN ONE LOCATION WITHIN A PHOTOSHOOT OR LIFESTYLE SESSION?


Of course! If you'd like to take photographs at several locations, just book one of my 2 hour + packages, which allow time for location and/or outfit changes. Travel up to 15 miles is included when you book any of my Lifestyle Packages, so travel between the different locations will be included in the total travel distance. Any additional travel will be added to your invoice at 45p per mile. The time spent travelling between locations will be included in your total session time, so be sure to allow for this when choosing your package.




HOW DO YOU CHARGE FOR TRAVEL?


For Lifestyle Sessions and Personal Events, travel up to 15 miles is included* at no extra charge. Travel beyond 15 miles will be added to your invoice at the standard 45p per mile. CAN I GET UNEDITED PHOTOGRAPHS?


If you have an established aesthetic for your brand, you may prefer I send your photographs unedited, so you can use your standard presets or filters to keep your website and social media cohesive. in this case, I will lightly edit to perfect the white balance and exposure of your photographs.




WHAT IS AN EDITING PRESET AND DO YOU SELL ANY?


Presets are professionally-created alternatives to photo filters, that are able to change many more elements of your photograph. By using presets on your own photographs, you can create a uniform look. Do you ever look at an influencer's Instagram feed and wonder how they make it flow so beautifully? Presets are the answer!

I have created a range of presets to help you make the most of any photographs you have taken yourself, or that I have taken for you, which can be found in my Online Store.
Alternatively, I can create you your own custom preset from scratch, to your exact specifications. I will provide all of the instructions on how to download, install and use your presets either on a computer, tablet, or even your phone, which will allow you to take photographs yourself and quickly edit in just one or two clicks. This is perfect if you are posting regularly on social media and want to create a cohesive look for your brand.

If you regularly hire me for your Brand Photography, I will either keep a copy of your preset and use it on your photographs, or provide you with the lightly edited photographs so you can apply the preset yourself*.

*Many of my clients become used to applying the preset and tweaking it in certain ways, so in time you may prefer this option.
