Virtual Wedding Fayre - Saturday 2nd & Sunday 3rd May
Updated: Apr 17
Happy Friday Everyone! 🤍 So I'll be honest, I've been feeling a little helpless. With so much going on and so many people out on the frontlines risking their lives, I thought "What am I even doing to help!?". I've signed up for a number of volunteer schemes, but so far I haven't heard anything back, which I take as a great sign that they're getting numerous applications, from lovely people wanting to do what they can to help! So, I thought, maybe there's something I can do, to help Engaged Couples and the Wedding & Event Industry at the same time... So the 'Virtual Wedding Fayre' was born! A safe space where you can find quality Wedding Suppliers and Venues, all in one place, without ever leaving the comfort of your home! Plus, we'll be raising money for the Mental Health Charity, Mind, at the same time! 🤍
So far, we have hair stylists, makeup artists, venues, caterers, musicians, dressmakers and more, all hand-picked for the quality of their work and lovely personalities! And just by signing up to the Event, you'll be sent some great offers, discounts and freebies from our wonderful suppliers! The fayre will be held right here, at www.LMphotography.co.uk/fayre and there will be no charge to attend. We do recommend you sign up ahead of time so you can get involved, as our Suppliers will be on hand to respond to any comments or questions you have!
How will it work?
Glad you asked! This hasn't been done before, so we're working on making it as easy a process as possible, for you! Here are the few easy steps you can take, to make the most of your Fayre experience:
1. Start by visiting www.LMphotography.co.uk/fayre (or scrolling to the top of this post) and choosing 'Login/Sign Up' just below the video, as in the picture below. Signing up will ensure you can engage with the Suppliers and receive your Virtual Goody Bag!
2. Follow Lindsay McConville Photography on Facebook and select 'See First' as well as Notifications: 'On', to make sure you're notified when new video Q&A Sessions from our Suppliers drop! See how to do this in the picture below. This will be your chance to get to know some of our Suppliers more, plus they will be answering questions submitted by you and other couples just like you! There may even be some entertainment!
3. Message your Questions to Lindsay McConville Photography in one of three ways; Through the 'Send Message' button on my facebook page, by emailing Lindsay@LMphotography.co.uk or by commenting your questions on this post, once you're signed up! I'd recommend sending any burning questions over before 20th April - We don't know how many questions we'll receive and want to answer as many as possible! These can be questions for myself or any/all of our suppliers, just let me know who your question is for! For example, you might want to know how to make sure your look lasts all day - Send the question over and I'll ask all of our makeup artists and hairstylists for their best tips! 4. Show up here from 11am to 3pm on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd May, for posts and videos from numerous wonderful suppliers and some entertainment from talented musicians and creatives! And don't forget to get involved - if you see something you like, comment on it! Have a question? Ask it! We're here for you! 🤍
5. Please give whatever you can to Mind, through the 'Donate Now' button on the Wedding Fayre homepage. Mind do extremely important working helping people to feel mentally healthy. They're someone to talk to, or advice when you feel down, overwhelmed or anxious. Now, more than ever, with people isolated and feeling alone, NHS Workers feeling the effects of risking their lives every day and the self-employed and many others struggling to make ends meet, they're getting higher and higher numbers of calls. Let's help make sure there are always enough people to answer those calls, because sometimes just a voice and a listening ear on the end of a call, can make all the difference.
Take care and stay safe everyone, see you at the Fayre! 🤍
