Pamela & Andrea Makeup
We are Pamela and Andrea, a make-up artist duo who share the same vision and passion for making women look good, feel beautiful and above all, true to themselves. Our philosophy is that make-up should not be a disguise, but a way of enhancing natural beauty and confidence.
We have been running our makeup and hair company for over 7 years and we still love it as much as did when we first started. Weddings are our biggest passion, it feels so special to be a part of the process of getting ready on a Bride's big day. We are there to make the bride look and feel her absolute best and it's hugely rewarding when a bride looks in the mirror and feels great about herself! We are also lucky enough to be involved in many shoots and catwalk shows within the bridal industry. However big or small your bridal party, we have got you covered! If we aren't personally available for your wedding date, our P&A Pro Team will be. Our Pro Team is a small group of carefully selected makeup and hair artists that share the same skills, style and vision as we do.
Why should you book us for your wedding day?
To put it simply – we can take away the added stress that you don't need on your big day. We often find when our brides are having their makeup applied and hair styled, it's a peaceful timeout for them and can be a welcome dose of calm. We have a large array of tried and tested products and special techniques that we have perfected over the years to keep you looking perfect all day. We are not only your personal make up artists but a helping hand on the day (and sometimes a shoulder to cry on!).
It's not only about making a woman look and feel beautiful, it is our approachability and personal touch that will make you feel completely at ease and help you achieve the best vision of you, for your wedding or any day that you want to feel special.
What products do we use?
We use a range of high end products; some of our favourite brands are TOM FORD, Charlotte Tilbury, BECCA Cosmetics, Armani and Laura Mercier.
Nervous about having your makeup done?
We understand that having your makeup done can sometimes be an intimating experience but for us the most important thing is that the you feel comfortable and confident. A trial run is really important as we will go through an in-depth consultation, get to know you properly and discuss any of your concerns. Don't worry if you aren't 100% sure on what you want as that is what the trial is there for. We'll try out different ideas and keep going until we have the perfected look.

Can't say enough wonderful things! Andrea came to my home a few months before my wedding for a trial and listened to what I was looking for and what I liked and disliked. She tweaked the look based on my feedback and took pictures, so she could replicate it on my wedding day. On the day, she did make-up for our full party and all was perfect. My bouquet fell apart, my hair came down, my bustle broke ---- but my face looked flawless! :)

What areas do you cover and can you do international weddings?
We cover everywhere! We are happy to travel anywhere in the UK and also international destinations. We do ask for our travel to covered by the client and accommodation if needed.
What's your favourite look or style for Brides?
We love creating radiant, glowing skin. Our aim is to always make skin look like skin and not too made up.
How many bridesmaids can you style on the morning of the Wedding, as well as the Bride (or Groom)?
As well as both of us we also have our P&A Pro Team, so we can take on a party of any size. The largest party we have done to date is 12.
What's the one haircare or makeup product you couldn't live without?
We couldn't live without our Tom Ford eye shadow quads, the shade choice in each pallet is just so perfect. The metallic shades are really like no other, beautifully creamy in texture and application and they give a sheen on the eye that just isn’t achievable with other brands of eye shadow.
One of our Pro Team stylists Nathalie says she cant live with out Percy and Reeds Mousse. Its prefect for prepping bridal hair as it keeps the style in place all day.
Do you have any funny Wedding stories?
We once had a bride made late to her wedding in Majorca because her dad's feet had swollen up so much due to heat, that he couldn't get his shoes on! There were bridesmaids rubbing butter on his feet and using kitchen utensils as a shoe horn, luckily everyone found it funny!
What is your favourite part of what you do?
Seeing the look on our clients faces when they see their transformation is really so rewarding. It's also so lovely to be a part of the wedding morning, there is always such a nice atmosphere and we love getting involved and helping out where we can.
What's the one thing you'd recommend every Bride (or stylish Groom) has on hand throughout the day, to make sure their style lasts? And do you have any other tips for ensuring hair and makeup stays in place?
We always recommend for our brides to carry their lipstick, concealer, a cotton bud and some blotting paper or powder. If you get a little hot or shed a tear, these items are all you will need to fix up your makeup quickly. A setting spray is a great way to keep your makeup in place all day, we always use Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray on our brides.
For hair, always start with a good foundation, so freshly washed and a good blow dry to prep the hair for the finished style. For hair up, always make sure you have really good pins and grips, this will really make a difference to how long it lasts.
Does any Wedding you've worked at, or Bridal Party you've styled, stand out for you?
We were lucky enough to fly to Puglia in Italy for a wedding at the stunning venue Masseria Potenti. Masseria Potenti is unbelievably beautiful, surrounded by olive orchards and it has a real authentic southern Italian feel to it. That paired with the weather was amazing!
Are there any styles or colours, etc., that you'd like to see trending in Weddings in the future?
We love to see a bride's individual style and it's so nice to see that coming through on different weddings, we prefer to see this than trends.
Who are you in lockdown with and how are you staying sane/passing the time?
We are both on lock down separately but have still been chatting everyday and trying to keep each other motivated. We have both been staying creative with painting, sewing and home improvements.
With things the way they are at the moment, what's your postponement/cancellation policy?
Any of our clients who have already sent a deposit will have it held against their rearranged date due to the ongoing issues with Coronavirus. Our clients do not have anything extra to pay if they decide to postpone their wedding.
What are your 3 Desert Island Items?
Music, a comfy mattress and sunscreen! We'd definitely go makeup free for a while.
What's your favourite season for Weddings and why?
We love a winter wedding, there is something very magical and exciting about them. The air is crisp, the wedding palette is deep and rich in colour and the settings are cosy.
