Home of CC - DIY Luxury Decor on a Budget
Updated: May 5, 2020
I chose Home of CC to be included in this event, as creator Chrissy offers something completely different and I absolutely love her style. She creates beautiful pieces at home, that can be used as gorgeous centerpieces for your Wedding, then used to decorate your home, so you'll always have that special memento of the day. She shares DIY Projects on her Instagram and you can get everything you need at local shops or through her Amazon Shop.
I personally really feel the difference when I've let my desk get a bit messy, or the feng shui in the room isn't right, because of a badly positioned piece of furniture (Ask anyone who knows me - I'm terrible for always moving rooms around!). So as we're all in lockdown, I also wanted to include Chrissy for some calm and balance.
As well as the DIY Projects on her Instagram, Chrissy shares beautiful photographs of her gorgeous home and honestly I feel peaceful just looking at them. I hope you'll find some inspiration for ways to make your own home as peaceful a space as possible, whilst you're not able to leave!
The wonderful Chrissy has answered your Questions below and you can see some photographs of her beautiful home throughout this piece. There's also a video below of some of her projects and just how easily you can create these yourself! - Thank you Chrissy! xo
If you'd like to talk to Chrissy, I've included her contact details at the en of this piece, or you can leave a comment at the bottom of this page and I'll pass her your email address! 🤍
Home of CC - Luxury DIY Wedding Decor on a Budget
What is your favourite part of what you do?
My favourite part about creating new and beautiful DIY decor pieces, is first of all the achievement of being able to create something beautiful, but also to be able to share these ideas with others who, like me, can't afford to splash out on these expensive items in stores. So now we can make our very own, for much less money!
What's your Favourite Wedding Theme/Style?
I am a huge lover of pink, rose gold and copper, so my favourite style would be timeless white decor with splashes of pink/copper accessories. Minimalistic, but magical.
What makes you different to other Wedding Decor Suppliers?
My DIY decor pieces aren't just for weddings, they are for your home too, or other events! They are extremely versatile so you can make them for your wedding and bring them home after, for decor pieces in your home.
Is there anything you'd love to see trending in Wedding Decor?
I would love to see more affordable, personal make-it-yourself kits, although I know not everyone has the time to do this!
Does any piece of Decor you've made stand out for you?
My floral arrangement with the mint imperial base (yes you read that right!) is my absolute favourite, because it is so unique and different, but such a stand-out beautiful piece that would make any room or table really pop.
Who are you in lockdown with and how are you staying sane/passing the time?
I am in lockdown with my boyfriend Callum and our two 1 year old cats, Vinnie and Marble! I am still working as a digital specialist and I work from home anyway, so on that side of things that hasn't changed. In times where we just want to get out and do something, I find that cleaning is very relaxing, so I will dedicate a room for a deep clean or researching for new DIY projects or baking!
What are your 3 Desert Island Items? - i.e. If you were stuck on a desert island and could only have 3 items, what would they be?
That's a tricky question, lol, I would have:
1. A pack of cards
3. Unlimited JustEat (Can you have that on a Desert Island? They can drop it off by boat right? 😜)
Do you only sell Wedding Decor, or other things too?
The decor we make for our home is very versatile so can be used for any event or just in your home.
This Wedding Fayre is raising money for Mind, the Mental Health Charity - Why do you personally feel like this is a great cause?
Mental health is something that more people are opening up about, but without doubt is a topic that is hard for people to talk about, recognise or admit to. It is an area I strongly believe we should be made aware of at a younger age. This way, if someone does develop a mental health issue, they are aware this is ok and they don't need to feel alienated or wonder why they are feeling the things they are feeling, with no idea what could be happening. If any couples want to re-create or use our projects as inspiration, I want to offer an open door to ask me any questions, as I am more than happy to help! I use my Instagram the most of all social platforms, so I am easily reached on here 😊
Thank you Chrissy, for getting involved in this Event! xo
